Examine the Baracks!

Is it me or does it seems like every time you turn on the television, you see President Obama? Not that I’m mad at all, since it’s about time people of color are portrayed in the media under a positive light. Or maybe it’s my selective memory of past presidents that makes me feel as though he’s being overexposed? Whatever the case may be, I fully understand the urgency in learning about his stimulus plan as a remedy for our terrible economy, and I live for his motivating speeches but I can’t help but feel like he’s being carefully scrutinized. Some are just patiently waiting for him to drop the ball, but they’ll soon recognize that this is not a game! If you want to closely examine something, then check these out.

 

 


They’re called the Baracks. Not only are they a piece of art, but a piece of history too. These kicks come in our nation’s patriotic colors [red, white and blue], and like our president, will soon become a force to be reckoned with. Made with all good intentions by MiBlox, the Baracks are sneakers created by youth group founder & current president of MiBlox- Mareo Harris solely with the urban youth in mind. Urban youth love sneakers, admire our new president, and should experience a newfound pep in their steps believing that anything is possible whether they’re rockin’ the Baracks or not.

    yu have a point dat obama seemz 2 b being put in da media spotlite alot nowadaiiz but dnt get me rong itz refreshin 2 see sum1 on tee vee dat aint tlkn bout sum dumb shyt………………………………………. but sum ppl are takin diz “my president iz blak” ting 2 da nex unnessary level, manufacturing various obama based productz nd trus me i have seen sum weird s**t….. but are da kickz suppose 2 b worn in support or jus 4 show?? cuz no disrespect 2 our new prez or thee creator but i wudnt rock doz, but das jus me. dnt get me rong im feelin da idea hard bodiie Karate {hiyah!} but i feel der iz a mor significant way 2 support…..

    I appreciate your honesty. It’s not that people are taking this “my president is Black” notion too far, I just think they’re still celebrating. I don’t know how else to say this, but this past election was MAJOR! It was historical in so many ways, but the icing on the cake was the mere fact that the majority of America voted for our 1st Black president. You can’t knock people for being hopeful, now can you?

    I am pretty much not into sneakers but i think these are hot.. What a way to celebrate our next independence with the ‘Baracks’.
