The BKBOYEEZ are back with our second edition of BK&Beyond. Here’s what has been happening this week.

• Todd Zielinski, 32, was arrested and held for 28 hours for using the Emergency Exit at the Dekalb Ave train station on the “L” line.
• 17 yr old boy, Sharif Abdallah, died in Prospect Park this week. Sharif collapsed after a physical altercation with other teens and one of the teen’s father. The cause of death is still unknown.
• DRIVERS BEWARE! The city is dispensing more officers on the street to tackle the rising issue of people driving while on their phone. We all know that it’s illegal and most importantly, it’s dangerous. These officers are specifically looking for these law breakers. Don’t be one of them!
• Hate crime in L.I. involving an off-duty officer and four hispanic men- one of them being officer Juan Nunez, 32, of Freeport who attacked Daryl Jackson, 52. The men yelled racial insults as they beat him.
• Apparently Manhattan’s 5th Avenue hasn’t heard that we are in a recession. The famous strip is still thriving during these rough financial times. Reports show no significant decline in sales at 5th Avenue shops- with new retail stores coming in the Summer.
• Oprah sends a message to Rihanna: “If a man hits you once, he will hit you again”. She plans to do a show on domestic violence dedicated to all the Rihanna’s of the world.
