In honor of St. Patricks’ Day, I want to holla at you with some green fashion. No, not the color green, but environmental green. As we all know, our ozone layer is gradually vanishing as we speak. What can you do to help GO GREEN? I’m not referring to anything drastic like becoming a vegan or using solar power in your home. I’m thinking on a smaller scale. You can GO GREEN at the mall. Next time you go shopping, look into items that contain all natural materials and dyes. It’s chic to be environmentally fashionable. Think about it. Next month, the BKBOYEEZ will be bringing you other ways to GO GREEN for our environment as well as ways to help improve your community.
Stay up and catch my swagg.

One of our ultimate goals as the BKBOYEEZ is to highlight the many hidden treasures the thoro-borough of Brooklyn can’t help but produce. Only once a month will we select a burgeoning artist who we feel if given the chance, can make a huge impact on the world of music. Not only must this artist master his/her craft, but should also exemplify Brooklyn’s culture and everchanging lifestyle. We’re totally amp’d about this new installment on the site, but more importantly- we’re excited about our involvement in the development of these artists who just won’t rest until they get the recognition they deserve. And I don’t blame ‘em! When you got it, you got it. Real talk though- this dude got it! Being the first in the history of BKBOYEEZ.com to be featured for his natural ability in rhetoric, he’s respectfully known on the streets of BK and on wax as Poe Picasso. Adopting skills in both persistency and prose from one of America’s more influential writers, Edgar Allan Poe as well as exploring his own artistic genius emulating early 20th century prodigy, Pablo Picasso- this dude is here to breathe life back into Hip Hop.

So here is something random. I believe that people from the continent of Asia are prominent in trendsetting. I know that seems totally bias, but you can’t say that you never had the same belief or thought. You might ask where KuTTy is coming from with this? Well I recently worked at Arena Event space, which houses the NYC Korean karaoke hotspot- Pulse. Let me tell you, not one person on line (they were all Asian) was out of trend or would end up on the “don’t” of a DO or DON’T list. I am saying, everyone, yes, everyone was FRESH. Why do you think think that is?

Like Pop?
…There has been some major buzz surrounding new Asian pop artist, Boa. Apparently she’s the biggest female recording artist in all of Asia and today, she debuts her self-titled album, BoA- which is also her first in English. Her much anticipated album has been rumored to include songs penned by top Asian and U.S. hitmakers including Sean Garrett. Not only did Garrett work on Boa’s single, “I Did It For Love,” but he has also worked among other popular artists like Beyonce, Ciara and Fergie. Hmm…you better watch out Ciara & you too, Janet- while Boa’s not the greatest vocally, she can pick up a step. She’s kinda DOPE, I must say. There’s no other Asian dominating the U.S. charts and I’m kinda ready for it, so CeCe might want to up her game just a little. We might be experiencing the takeover, y’all. You be the judge.
