This week we eagerly transitioned into Spring, but it looks like we will be getting more than April showers. Pretty soon it will be raining severe budget cuts, fare hikes and tax increases! Here’s what happened this week:

• President Obama calls for the termination of GM (General Motors) chief, Rick Wagner, as part of the recent restructuring of our major motor industry.
• Alleged video surfacing with a female snorting a line of cocaine is said to be Vice- President Biden’s daughter, Ashley Biden.
• Councilman Eric Gioia is fighting to keep sex offenders out of public housing, but offers no alternive options.
• Gov. Patterson pledges to derail MTA fare hike.
• Mayor Bloomberg heads out drums of supports for his third term.
• FEDs continue to seize Bernie Madoff’s assets- most recently, a luxury fishing boat.
• Rough cut of X-Men Origins: Wolverine gets leaked to the net.
• British store, TopShop opens in Soho.
