BK&BEYOND

This week has been pretty interesting, and of course the news has been completely dominated by the economic crisis. Let me put you up on what’s been going down this week.

  • Chris Brown appears in Los Angeles court and entered a not guilty plea to felony charges of assault and making criminal threats.
  • The city plans to add 50 more traffic signal cams in and around NYC.
  • With construction halted at Atlantic Yard on Dean St. in Prospect Heights, the vacant lot and surrounding neighborhood are being overrun by rodents.
  • Gov. Patterson continues his fight for leukemia patient- 6 year old Jasmina Anema, who desperately needs a bone marrow transplant. For donating information, visit www.dkmsamericas.org or www.oneforjasmina.org.
  • A recent poll taken reveals that most New Yorkers think Gov. Patterson is doing a very bad job in office and don’t want him on the 2010 ballot.
  • Tyra Banks and America’s Next Time Model are giving short girls a second try. Auditions are scheduled for April 11. For audition rules and location visit www.cwtv.com.
  • A humpback whale was spotted a few miles outside of Coney Island.
  • Harlem women, Jessica Silverman, won $25,000 after guessing the exact number (7,954) of jelly beans in a jar.

That’s all folks! Make sure you tune in next week. You know I’ll be right here.
