The Streets Of NYC Love MJ (…literally!)

Look what I came across one night as my sister and I walked around the Upper West Side- just weeks after the passing of the King of Pop! I wish we saw it in the daytime (it would be A LOT brighter), but isn’t this DOPE? … and it looks just like him! This is the Michael I remember wanting to be just like! Can’t say this enough… R.I.P. Michael. …Oh, and special shout out to the artist- Hani Shihada- who’s known for drawing some of the most breathtaking works of art directly on the sidewalks of NYC!

MJ literally takes over the streets of NYC!

Did you hear the awful news about what happened to Hani Shihada’s mural on Broadway & 87th Street? The residents of the Boulevard apartment had their management scrub it off because they didn’t like the idea of a mural of black Haitian children on their block! Can you believe it? They obviously don’t know how much this man’s paintings sell for or that he is a one of New York’s own celebrities, a recurring guest on MTV, Reading Rainbow, has been in the movies “Regarding Henry”, “The Paper”, “Queen’s Logic”, “No Reservations”, Bono of U2’s music video. His work is in Mariah Carey’s video “Vision of Love”. He has been hired by Broadway shows, has private collectors, and the list goes on and on. The only show that he hasn’t been interviewed on yet is “The David Letterman Show”, one of his lifelong dreams, since watching it religiously helped him master English, but also it’s his favorite show.
